Jeremiah 29:11 (American Standard Version)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.
John 15:7 (American Standard Version)
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever you will, and it shall be done unto you.
Philippians 4:6-7 (American Standard Version)
In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
James 5:13-18 (American Standard Version)
Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. Confess your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man avails much in its working. Elijah was a man of like passions with us, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earth for three years and six months. And he prayed again; and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Psalm 34:5-8 (American Standard Version)
They looked unto Him, and were radiant; And their faces shall never be confounded. This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of Jehovah encamps around about them that fear him, And He delivers them. Oh taste and see that Jehovah is good: Blessed is the man that takes refuge in him.

Problem: Friday evening during a church Road Rally, Julianna's car was struck by a silver SUV. The driver of the SUV got out of the car, looked at Julianna's car then told Julianna, "I will get my insurance information." She returned to her vehicle, THEN DROVE OFF! A woman who witnessed the accident followed the SUV and wrote down her license plate. When the police came, they could not find the license plate number in the database. Julianna had two others in the car with her and they were all sore. Julianna's mother, father, and others from the church came to be with her and prayed that the Lord would make a way to find this woman.
Suddenly: Six days after the accident, Julianna's father was called by a service department that hasn't called him in over a year. They needed him to repair a silver SUV's tow hitch. When he walked out to the SUV, it had the same license plate number as the one reported. Apparently the vehicle was brand new and the license number was not yet in the police's database. He called the police and asked them to come to the dealership to deal with the women responsible for leaving the scene of an accident. GOT WILL EVEN FIND HIT AND RUN DRIVERS FOR YOU!!!!!
Problem: Karen, after years of HARD work, was number six on the waiting list to get into the nursing school, which started on June 21. We prayed as a church for her! (April 26, 2008)
Suddenly: THANKS TO ALL YOU PRAYER WARRIORS! I GOT IN THE NURSING PROGRAM AT SCC. I had my doubts, but thank the Lord for those who raise our arms in prayer. HE IS FAITHFUL!! I certainly received my 'suddenly' as Pastor Mike preached on. Love you all, Karen Schmitt (May 1, 2008)
Problem: Sarah, after years of HARD work, paying lots of money for her tuition at SCC, taking honors classes, and getting involved with student activities, found herself without a scholarship that would cover her tuition at UCF. She had really had her heart set on Stetson. Business at work was going poorly and she was very discouraged. It seemed that all her hard work was in vain. How was she going to pay for the rest of her college education? So the church prayed!
Suddenly: The day before her graduation, she got a call from the SCC presidents office that she had won the Jack Kent Cook scholarship which would pay for ALL her tuition for her bachelors and masters degree. She was so thankful! God had NOT forgotten her!
Problem: Steve got very sick when his kidneys failed and he was unable to work anymore. Mary was unable to work because she was on bedrest from a back injury. Steve and Mary continued homeschooling. The church prayed for a miracle!
Gods Faithfulness: For several months, the Smiths lived with the Webbs, a family in our church. For another chunk of time, they lived across the street from their pastors family with a single mom and her daughter. After 18 months, through generous gifts from family and friends, the Lord provided them their own apartment. Steve receives disability and Mary has a part-time job caring for Merediths Dad, who has asthma and emphysema. They have never been without shelter and people who have loved them!
Problem: Many years ago, while Mike was in seminary, we had our dear niece, Kimberly, with us for the summer. It was her birthday and we were completely out of money to buy her a nice dinner or even a cake! That morning, The girls and I prayed with Kimberly that God would provide a birthday meal and cake.
Gods Provision: That afternoon, we went to the Kings Pantry a food ministry where we could get two bags of groceries for $2.00. They had never had cake mixes before, but that week only they had not only a cake mix, but a can of frosting as well. God had provided birthday cake! We made the cake and still were waiting on God for a yummy birthday meal. At 4 pm, there was a knock on the door. Our pastors wife was holding a large garbage bag full of crabs!!!! Guess what Kimberlys favorite food was? She had her favorite food for dinner that night and we all learned an important lesson: God cares about our birthdays and answers prayers prayed in faith!
